Morocco needs our help.
As many of you know, the recent earthquake in Morocco has left thousands in dire need and we want to do all we can to help this worthy cause.
It is an appeal close to all our hearts, particularly for Simon and Monique, who have formed a long attachment with the country over the years. The very school they have visited in the past is now the scene of complete devastation with many of its pupils now severely impacted as a result of the natural disaster.
We will be hosting a special fundraiser on Thursday 19th October, to raise as much as we can for Education for All’s earthquake crisis appeal, with 100% of ticket sales for entry to the sculpture park being donated to the cause. We will also donate 10% of proceeds for all Moroccan items sold from the Store, including crockery items and rugs.
The Kitchen will have a Moroccan-inspired menu, including a whole asado lamb cooked by Simon, and there will be live Moroccan food cooking demonstrations with tagines and tangias.
And if that wasn’t enough, Trifle Bazaar owner Victoria Letten will exhibit at the event, donating a percentage of her sales to the appeal as well, and Boutique in a Bus will be selling clothing and accessories at The Makers Yard, which is free to enter.
This really is a hugely important cause and we want to do everything we can to try and make this life-changing time for these students a little easier, where we can. Your support, as ever, is gratefully received.
