Start the year as you mean to go on at Sculpture by the Lakes. \nWe’re inviting you to get your steps in this January and February across our 26 acres of tranquil sculpture gardens. It’s the perfect way to clear your head\, enjoy the fresh air\, and take in the art without the summer crowds. \nOnce you’ve done your loop (or two!)\, head to The Kitchen for a steaming\, healthy bowl of soup. SUMMARY:Winter Pruning Fruit Trees Workshop With John Cunningham
DESCRIPTION:Making sure your fruit trees are fruitful and healthy depends so much on the correct type of pruning at the right time of year. Our workshop will cover this tricky subject plus take you through the correct tools to use and how to look after them. \nOur tutor for this workshop is John Cunningham. \nTrained at The Royal Botanical Gardens\, Edinburgh\, and a qualified designer\, John specialises in pruning and garden development for private clients. He has planted over 60 Royal Horticultural Society and International Show gardens over the past 30 years and has judged for the RHS since 2013. He shares his knowledge with humour and passion. \nYou can bring your own secateurs if you would like but please ensure they are sharp and are clean and disinfected before you arrive. You will need to bring your own lunch\, or you can book a table with The Kitchen. \nArrival is from 10am and the course starts at 10.30am. We break for lunch at 12.00 and resume at 1.00 finishing at 4pm. \nPlease be aware\, The workshop is limited to 10 spaces. \nReserve your place here:\n  \n\n      \n        \n      \n    \n  \n
