SUMMARY:Springing To Life
DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to be welcoming Penny back to the gallery\, for another fascinating demonstration of her cut paper collage work on the 14th of August.\n  \nPenny creates images that are both botanically accurate and have strong visual appeal. Starting with careful observation of the subject plant\, she makes sketches\, colour notes and records the rhythm and energy of the growing plant.  She assembles the image\, cutting and layering plain papers in a complex\, subtle way to achieve an effect reminiscent of 1930s silk screen prints\, but with a strong contemporary appeal.  The natural world and particularly the glorious Dorset countryside are a constant source of inspiration which she loves to share.
