Most visitors on average spend at least 2 hours with us, but you are welcome to bring a picnic and spend the day.
The beautiful River Keeper’s Hut accommodates four adults with a table and chairs for your picnic lunch. Maximum 4 people.
For warmer days, we have a bench and low table outside and for chilly weather there is a small wood-burning stove inside to keep you cosy and warm.
The booking fee is £50 payable in advance, in addition to your entry to the sculpture park.

This secluded island situated on Rainbow Lake houses a privately enclosed pavilion. Maximum 6 people.
Accessible across a small bridge, the pavilion accommodates up to six people with picnic table, soft seating and a wood-burning stove and is a perfect hideaway retreat.
The Island is available to hire for the day, for a fee of £75 payable in advance in addition to your entry to the sculpture park.

Built to house The Gallery exhibition at the Chelsea Flower Show, The Pavilion is situated by the River Frome in the south eastern corner of the sculpture park. Maximum 10 people.
It has south-facing sliding glass doors leading out onto the deck and down to a paved area with a picnic table and chairs.
Accommodating up to eight people inside, the space outside is perfect for larger gatherings of family, friends or a team-building work event.
Roped off for extra privacy, this private corner of the sculpture park will give you the comfort and space to relax and enjoy the company of those you are with.
The Pavilion is available to hire for the day, for a fee of £75 payable in advance in addition to your entry to the sculpture park.

We take group bookings for day visits, which you can book online and receive a 10% online discount.
For groups of 20 people or over we offer 20% discount. However, you will need to contact us either by email at email@example.com or call us on 07720 637 808 to discuss your requirements.
As parking is limited we request car sharing where possible. Please contact us if you have any further questions regarding bringing a group to Sculpture by the Lakes.

The new Gallery Café offers a menu featuring locally sourced, freshly produced seasonal dishes, snacks and cakes as well as light lunches and afternoon teas. More information about the café can be found here.
We have toilet facilities with disabled access.
Disabled access is limited. However, it is possible to go around the lakes in a wheelchair or mobility scooter. We recommend you leave extra time for your visit and be aware that the paths will be uneven in places and extra assitance may be required.

Sculpture by the Lakes is situated in the village of Pallington, one mile east of Tincleton on the Ilsington road between the A35 at Dorchester and the B3990 Waddock Drove.
From the Dorchester area, head east towards the roundabout with the A35, take the Kingston Mauward exit, this is the Ilsington road. Follow this for 6 miles, passing through Tincleton, then under the power lines into Pallington. Pallington Lakes is the second on the right. From the B3990 Waddock Drove, we are .7 of a mile heading west towards Tincleton. The entrance is on the left before you go under the power lines.
